Mission
At Bank of Indiana, our mission is simple: To provide our customers with knowledgeable, friendly, timely financial services and advice.

We achieve our mission through continually training and educating our employees on the latest financial trends and data, keeping up-to-date on the latest technology, and always, always remembering that the business of banking isn’t just about money – it’s about people.

History
Bank of Indiana, formerly First National Bank of Dana, has served the Dana, Indiana community since 1901. The bank's mission has always been to be a leading financial institution with emphasis on unequaled customer service. We have never wavered in that commitment and have grown as a result.

Our growth and profits are incredible assets to our banking customers and to the entire Dana community. When the President of the United States declared a bank holiday during the Great Depression Era, for instance, First National Bank of Dana was allowed to reopen immediately because of its security and stability even in this time of national financial struggle.

To take advantage of increased business opportunities, the shareholders of First National Bank of Dana formed a holding company, Dana Bancorp, Inc., in 1991. In July 1997, Dana Bancorp was purchased by First Eldorado Bancshares, which is the parent company of First State Bank of Eldorado in Eldorado, IL.

On August 26, 2005 Indiana Bank Corp., an Indiana corporation, was organized for the purpose of acquiring The First National Bank of Dana. Indiana Bank Corp., took ownership of First National Bank of Dana on April 21, 2006 and changed the bank's name to Bank of Indiana N.A.

On September 15, 2006 Bank of Indiana opened its first branch in Lafayette Indiana.

On August 24, 2007 Bank of Indiana purchased two First National Bank of Valparaiso branches: one in North Judson, Indiana and one in Hamlet, Indiana, and converted them to Bank of Indiana.

As of January 2009 Bank of Indiana is in the process of opening two branches: one on Delaware Street in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana and one on State Road 135, in Bargersville, Indiana.

At Bank of Indiana, we value each customer relationship, and pledge to our customers our total support and best effort to meet the financial needs of the communities we support as we continue to grow.
